Samuel Weinstein, MD

Internationally recognized for his work treating children with congenital heart diseases in developing countries for over 20 years, Dr. Weinstein is a member of the Heart Care International board of directors and surgical team captain. He is currently the President of SpecialtyCare, a leading clinical services provider. He has more than 25 years' experience practicing medicine and holds active board certifications in cardiothoracic surgery, congenital cardiac surgery, and surgery. He also has extensive experience consulting on healthcare process efficiency, clinical quality policies and procedures, patient safety, data management and medical leadership both in the United States and abroad. Dr. Weinstein graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, received an MBA from Fordham University and earned his MD degree at The State University of New York at Stony Brook. He received postdoctoral training at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York and completed pediatric cardiac surgery training at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Weinstein practiced at Nationwide Children's Hospital and Montefiore Medical Center.
